Kevin Goetz and Michael Goetz have been directing television commercials and music videos for over 20 years, helming projects for Nissan, Honda, Disney, HBO, State Farm, McDonald’s and BMW to name a few.
Recently, the directing duo completed principle photography on their third feature, A Violent Separation starring Alycia Debnam Carey, Brenton Thwaites, Ben Robson, Claire Holt and Ted Levine. Release is slated for May, 2019. The Brother’s first feature titled Scenic Route starring Josh Duhamel and Dan Fogler received high praise at its world premiere at the 2013 SXSW Festival where it was purchased and released worldwide by Vertical Entertainment. The Goetz’ next project, The Orphan Dialogues, is slated to enter pre-production June 2019.
The Brothers were nominated for a Primetime Emmy for their opening design and direction of the Wonderful World of Disney for ABC and two of their commercials have been placed in the permanent collection in the Museum of Modern Art. They have had a music video win “Fuse’s Best Rock Video of the Year” and two more of their commercial spots have been shortlisted at Cannes. Most recently, their Call of Duty: Black Ops spot was shortlisted for an AICP Award.
Michael earned a masters degree in film while attending USC’s School of Cinema while Kevin graduated from the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
